Company of the week: Colossal Biosciences

By Thomas Perkins

Where the goal is to revive extinct animals, starting with prehistoric species such as the Wooly Mammoth and the Tasmanian Tiger.

Yes…this is a real Scientist position to work on this project in Dallas, TX.

One major thing I’ve noticed in my professional career is that most people do not have a good grasp on how biotechnology is being used across the world.

I’ve known about this revolutionary project for as long as I have known about DNA sequencing but this particular opportunity came up on my LinkedIn stating I am considered “a top applicant.”

If only I could clone myself to work in another lab at the same time! This post is cohesive with the goal of my not-for-profit consulting as it relates to topics I cover like:

  • Startup and/or biotech selection

  • Field of study and focus

  • Exposure to different companies in the industry

  • Biotech culture

  • Applications used in Biotechnology

I have executed every skill required to obtain this position so I can help anyone who is interested in something like this.

If you are brand new or a well vetted scientist, I welcome a discussion on this bizarre topic! 🧬
Keep it up 💪
